Coesia's integrated solutions at LogiMAT 2026 respond to the challenges of e-commerce packaging, focusing on automation, sustainability, and optimizing logistics processes.
The rapid growth of e-commerce is reshaping the logistics sector, pushing warehouses to adopt increasingly sophisticated technologies to handle higher volumes of orders, more fragmented shipments, and a growing demand for sustainable packaging solutions. At the LogiMAT 2026 event, Coesia showcased its advanced automation solutions for e-commerce packaging, positioning itself as a key player in the packaging, handling, and palletizing sectors.
As e-commerce continues to transform warehouse environments, flexibility and efficiency have become crucial. Coesia’s automation solutions focus on adapting to the real flow of operations, optimizing packaging material usage, and reducing shipping volumes—ultimately contributing to cost savings and a more sustainable operation.
“E-commerce has transformed the warehouse into an environment where every order is a unique case. Different products, formats, and timing require automation that adapts to the real flow of operations,” said Alessandro Parimbelli, CEO of Coesia. “Our goal is to eliminate unnecessary costs associated with unused space in packaging by providing solutions that tailor the packaging to the product, delivering measurable results from day one.”
The global market for automated e-commerce packaging solutions is expected to grow at a compound annual rate of over 16% in the next five years. This growth is driven by the need to reduce operating costs, increase fulfillment speed, and optimize shipping volumes. To meet these demands, warehouses must accommodate diverse products while maintaining high standards for traceability, accuracy, and speed in order fulfillment.
Coesia’s solutions, which integrate mechanical automation, digital processes, and modular architecture, are designed to help warehouses adapt to evolving needs, improving operational efficiency and optimizing packaging material usage.
SELECTA by System Digital, a Coesia Group company, is one such solution designed to automate the handling of pre-formed paper bags in e-commerce fulfillment. SELECTA eliminates the bottleneck of manually selecting the right packaging format for each product. The system automatically selects, opens, and presents the correct bag for quick loading. After packaging, it seals the bag, applies the shipping label, and sends the package to the logistics line. This automated process improves speed, precision, and sustainability, reducing material use and shipping volumes.
System Digital also introduced ELEVA, a modular platform for the automated handling of corrugated cardboard boxes in intralogistics. ELEVA automatically adjusts the height of boxes based on the product inside, eliminating empty space, improving load stability, and reducing transport costs. This system’s modular design allows for easy adaptation to different operational layouts and evolving automation needs, making it an essential tool for warehouse optimization.
To complete the logistics offering, Coesia presented RC12, a collaborative palletizing system by FlexLink. This system integrates a collaborative robot for pallet handling and reconfiguration, providing flexible solutions for warehouses and distribution centers. With RC12, palletizing patterns can be quickly adjusted to meet the varying demands of e-commerce operations.
As the e-commerce sector continues to evolve, Coesia’s automation solutions are designed to address the increasing complexity of modern distribution and packaging processes. By combining sustainability with efficiency, Coesia aims to lead the way in transforming the logistics and packaging industries.
