For example, Philips' OneBlade razor product redesigned its packaging to reduce packaging volume by 80% and components by 30%, using only recyclable materials, improving the customer unboxing experience, and easing disposal processes. The program is seen as a major step forward in helping Amazon reach its sustainability targets.

In 2022, Amazon reported that 11% of products were already shipped globally without extra packaging. Customers were notified about this option at checkout and could still opt to add packaging at no additional cost. The new program offers further incentives, with sellers shipping to North America or the European Union receiving discounts based on the size and weight of their products. Discounts averaged $2.06 per unit for oversized items, and 31 cents per unit for standard-sized products.
