Mondi, a global leader in sustainable packaging, collaborated with easy2cool, a specialist in passive cooling solutions, to develop an innovative paper packaging solution for fresh and frozen food. 

The paperfloc Eco-Liner bag, invented by easy2cool, utilizes shredded recycled paper to insulate cold products, ensuring items remain frozen or chilled for up to 48 hours. By replacing the previous mono-PE layer with Mondi's recyclable FunctionalBarrier Paper, customers can now choose responsibly sourced packaging made from renewable resources. 

This solution, certified recyclable, offers efficient insulation within a corrugated box, providing a sustainable alternative to traditional options and reducing costs by up to 70%. Mondi's FunctionalBarrier Paper ensures insulation protection, preventing condensation water from compromising the integrity of the material and providing a robust, shock-absorbent outer layer for product safety.
