Three companies have been recognized in DuPont’s inaugural Sustainable Healthcare Packaging Awards for their innovations using Tyvek, driving advancements in sustainable medical packaging.
The first DuPont Sustainable Healthcare Packaging Awards recognized three winners for their innovative use of Tyvek to drive sustainability in medical packaging. Paxxus received the packaging redesign award for its StreamTwo pouch, which uses 50% less energy in production. Shawpak won for operational efficiency with its rotary thermoformer, which reduces waste and optimizes energy use. Flexform earned the sustainability in-use award for its laser marking system, which eliminates the need for labels and consumables, reducing waste and enhancing recyclability.
All three companies have contributed significantly to advancing sustainability within healthcare packaging through the use of Tyvek, which is known for its microbial barrier properties, durability, and recyclability.
