Hispack 2024 expands to highlight the favorable influence of packaging on sustainability.

Organized in collaboration with the Graphispack Association, Hispack, hosted at Fira de Barcelona's Gran Via venue from May 7 to 10, is poised to bring together over 720 direct exhibitors and showcase 1,250 brands in halls 2 and 3. Surface contracting is progressing well, featuring both returning companies from the previous year and the addition of new firms, particularly in the innovative realms of materials, premium packaging, automation, and robotics. An anticipated 25% of exhibitors will have an international presence.

The Spanish trade show will center its commercial offerings around five sectors: Packaging Machinery & Process, Labelling & Bottling, Logistics, Automation & Robotics, Industrial Packaging, and Brand Packaging. These sectors encompass machinery, equipment, and technology for manufacturing, bottling, labeling, coding, storage, distribution, and the packaging of industrial products.

Hispack's strength lies in its broad representation across the packaging life cycle, with a focus on attracting 27,000 professionals from diverse sectors. This edition emphasizes reinforcing its leadership in the Spanish market and drawing in final packaging brands from both large companies and industrial SMEs.

The event will also enhance its internationalization efforts, expecting 12% of visitors to come from abroad. Besides the exhibition, Hispack will offer a program of talks and networking activities, including the "Best in class" program recognizing companies with innovative packaging solutions. The Unboxing knowledge space will address sustainability throughout the packaging life cycle, while presentations will delve into industry trends such as online channel growth, changing consumer preferences, digitalization, sustainability regulations, and brand pressure to reduce packaging costs.

Hispack is updating a study on the Spanish packaging industry, incorporating a Sector Barometer to gauge market sentiments. Additionally, the prestigious Liderpack Awards, in collaboration with the Graphispack Association, are open for entries until September 7, with winners to be announced at the trade fair in May, providing access to the WorldStar for Packaging Competition.
