ProPak Asia 2026 moves to IMPACT as packaging and manufacturing innovation expands

ProPak Asia 2026 will relocate to IMPACT Muang Thong Thani, expanding its exhibition space to support the next generation of processing, packaging and manufacturing technologies. Organised by Informa Markets Thailand, the event will take place from 10 to 13 June 2026 and is expected to welcome more than 80,000 visitors, with projected trade and business negotiation value of over 5.5 billion baht.

The move reflects the continued growth of food, beverage, pharmaceutical and packaging industries across Asia, as manufacturers shift from traditional mass production toward more flexible, data-driven and sustainable operating models. Informa Markets described this transition as part of the move toward Industry 5.0, where people, artificial intelligence, automation and machinery work together to improve efficiency, reduce waste and respond faster to changing market needs.

The relocation to IMPACT Muang Thong Thani gives ProPak Asia 2026 around 20% more exhibition space, with more than 60,000 square metres available for machinery, live demonstrations and production line showcases. This additional capacity is designed to accommodate larger intelligent machinery, integrated processing systems and real-time demonstrations from global manufacturers.

ProPak Asia 2026 is positioning itself not only as a machinery exhibition, but as a regional platform for packaging innovation, smart manufacturing and sustainable industrial transformation.

A key focus of the 2026 edition will be the connection between packaging, processing and the full value chain. The event will cover technologies from product processing and packaging through to smart warehousing and cold chain logistics. This broader scope reflects the way packaging decisions are now linked to product safety, shelf life, logistics efficiency, automation and sustainability performance.

Among the main highlights will be the DigitalisationAsia Zone & Intelligent Automation, a dedicated area for AI-driven factory management, machine learning, collaborative robots and data analytics. These technologies are becoming increasingly important as food, beverage and pharmaceutical producers look to improve precision, reduce risk and move toward smarter factory environments.

  • Digitalisation will support smarter production, predictive decision-making and automated quality control.
  • Packaging innovation will address sustainability, shelf-life extension and material efficiency.
  • Cold chain logistics will connect packaging performance with food safety and distribution resilience.
  • Industry 5.0 will emphasise collaboration between people, automation and intelligent systems.

Sustainability will also be a central theme. The Sustainability Gateway will host seminars, conferences and workshops led by local and regional experts, covering topics such as future food, global food security and laboratory testing standards. These discussions are expected to be highly relevant for packaging companies facing growing pressure to reduce waste, use alternative materials and comply with international market requirements.

The Thailand Institute of Scientific and Technological Research will participate under the theme “TISTR Total Solution,” presenting innovation support for future food, food loss reduction and eco-friendly packaging. Its role highlights the increasing importance of research, testing and pilot-scale infrastructure in helping packaging and food companies move from concept to commercial production.

The event will also host the ThailandStar Packaging Awards 2026 under the theme “Packaging Beyond the Box.” Winning entries will move on to regional and global competitions, reinforcing the role of packaging design as a driver of functionality, sustainability and market differentiation.

International participation is expected to be significant. ProPak Asia 2026 will feature around 2,500 brands from 45 countries and 13 international pavilions, including South Korea, China, Japan, Singapore, Taiwan, Malaysia, France, the United Kingdom, North America, India, Italy, Australia and Bavaria. This global presence strengthens the event’s role as a business platform for companies seeking partners, technologies and regional expansion opportunities.

For Thailand, the event supports the country’s ambition to become a stronger hub for food, beverage and packaging manufacturing. Industry representatives highlighted opportunities in future food, functional products, health-oriented food, plant-based formats and value-added exports, all of which require advanced processing and packaging technologies.

ProPak Asia 2026 arrives at a critical time for the packaging industry. Manufacturers are dealing with cost pressure, climate-related supply risks, changing consumer expectations and stricter sustainability requirements. Events that connect machinery, materials, automation, testing and logistics are becoming essential for companies preparing for the next phase of industrial competition.
