Celebrating Excellence in Flexographic Printing

SÜDPACK Grootegast proudly received the distinguished FTA Diamond Award in the “Flexo Wide” category, following their previous victories in the EFTA-Benelux Flexo Awards 2023. This accolade, awarded at the 2024 drupa exhibition in Düsseldorf, represents the pinnacle of achievement for European flexographic printing companies.

Recognition on an International Stage

The finalists for the fifth Diamond Awards were all national flexo print award winners from esteemed competitions such as EFTA Benelux, FIA UK, ATEF Spain, ATIF Italy, and ATF France. This year, the jury faced the challenging task of selecting the best from 130 exceptional print images submitted across 16 categories. Among these elite entries, SÜDPACK stood out as one of the top performers.

Path to Victory

SÜDPACK's journey to the Diamond Awards began with their success in the EFTA-Benelux Flexo Awards 2023. The Dutch site in Grootegast earned the EFTA Gold Award in the “Flexo print on film / wide web” category and the EFTA Silver Award in the “Flexo print on film / medium web” category. These wins qualified them for the prestigious Diamond Awards. Jan Jitse Dalmolen, Manager PrePress at SÜDPACK Grootegast, described the award as “a unique opportunity to compete on a European level. After all, the participating printing companies are among the top players in Europe and beyond.”

A Symbol of Excellence and Inspiration

Henk Edzes, Sales Manager Food & Technical Films at SÜDPACK Grootegast, accepted the award alongside Dalmolen on May 30 at the Kö59 Hotel on Königsallee in Düsseldorf. Edzes remarked on the significance of the accolade: “The fact that our print images are among the best flexo print products makes us particularly proud and this allows us to impressively showcase our expertise in this line of business. That said, customers are the toughest jury. With every single project and every single order, we have to win them over once again with brilliant color and print quality as well as excellent color gradients.”
