Koenig & Bauer Durst showcases groundbreaking advancements in digital press systems and software services for folding carton and corrugated markets at drupa, located in Hall 16/A-31-1.
Making its public debut at the show is the VariJET 106 single pass press, a collaboration between Durst and Koenig & Bauer, featuring market-proven technology. Visitors can witness regular production run demonstrations and take away printed samples showcasing applications for pharmaceuticals, health and beauty products, as well as food and beverage industries. The VariJET106 is displayed in a hybrid configuration, seamlessly integrated with Koenig & Bauer’s Rapida offset press technology and workflow, with multiple production runs scheduled throughout the show. Live demonstrations of the latest die-cutting and folding gluer technology are also available at the neighboring Koenig & Bauer booth.
Another highlight is the Delta SPC 130, a market-proven solution in corrugated markets, also part of the Koenig & Bauer Durst’s single pass digital sheet-fed press portfolio. A control station is set up to demonstrate the Delta SPC 130 in a production environment utilizing Durst Workflow and Durst Analytics.
Daily shows feature the Delta SPC 130 and VariJET 106 systems at 11:45am and 2:45pm in English, along with folding carton production demonstrations in collaboration with Koenig & Bauer at 10:45am and 4:30pm in English, as well as at 2:00pm in German.
A groundbreaking announcement includes printing on mainly brown substrates with water-based digital white ink, positioning Koenig & Bauer Durst as the first company to offer digital white ink for corrugated substrates in primary food packaging. This innovation opens new possibilities in packaging, enabling printing on plain brown or lower-grade white boards.
