For the first time, WPO functions will be held in Bangkok during Propak Asia (June 12-15 – Bangkok).

It will be a bustling week for WPO (World Packaging Organisation), with the participation of the Executive Team and Board Members worldwide. Alongside the WPO Board Meeting on June 14, the WorldStar Award ceremony will grace the event, accompanied by other WPO activities such as Executive and Working Group Meetings, and a Corporate Partners Cocktail Party. Additionally, WPO Executives and Board Members will engage in side events including the Opening Ceremony, Global Packaging Forum, WPO-Unido Asian Round Table, and the Innovation Stage.

Luciana Pellegrino, WPO President, expresses anticipation for a dynamic week, uniting Board Members for various activities like a packaging conference organized by AIP, a strategic business Round Table, and an international cocktail for WPO’s Corporate Partners. She emphasizes the significance of these activities in advocating for packaging and empowering members globally.

About the 6th annual Global Packaging Forum, Nerida Kelton, WPO Vice President Sustainability & Save Food, notes the WPO's support for this event, highlighting its focus on sustainability and the circular economy for packaging. With 40 speakers from 19 countries, the forum aims to address global, regional, and local perspectives on these vital issues.

Another highlight will be the WorldStar award ceremony, as Soha Atallah, WPO Vice President Marketing and WorldStar Coordinator, expresses excitement for honoring the best innovations in packaging. This year, 212 WorldStar winners will be celebrated from 435 entries across 41 countries, making it a momentous occasion.
