ABG showcases FlexPack innovations at FachPack and K Show, appoints Vicky Roberts as Global Sales Lead, and prepares to open its FlexPack Centre of Excellence in Spain.

ABG Strengthens FlexPack Strategy with Trade Show Momentum and New Leadership

AB Graphic International (ABG) is rapidly scaling its presence in the flexible packaging market, leveraging a combination of advanced technology, strategic leadership, and high-profile trade show appearances. With successful showings at FachPack in Nürnberg and the K Show in Düsseldorf, ABG demonstrated its growing commitment to pouch-making, shrink sleeve, and other flexible formats under its FlexPack division.

Following its impactful presence at Labelexpo Europe, ABG used FachPack and K Show to showcase key FlexPack technologies. At FachPack, the company presented its Shrink-Sleeve Seaming Rewinder, highlighting its ability to ensure precise seam integrity and minimize changeover time. Meanwhile, at the K Show, the spotlight was on the Galaxy GS-24 TSG pouch-making machine, which drew interest for its high-precision and modular capabilities tailored for various flexible packaging needs.

These demonstrations highlight ABG’s strategy of combining its print finishing expertise with Galaxy’s established pouch-making technologies, allowing the company to offer a comprehensive and competitive solution to converters seeking to enter or expand in the flexible packaging sector.

In line with its global growth ambitions, ABG appointed Vicky Roberts as Global Business Development Sales Lead for ABG FlexPack. Roberts will spearhead international sales efforts, manage key customer relationships, and help steer product development. Her appointment reflects ABG’s commitment to long-term expansion and customer engagement in this high-growth segment.

“The response to our FlexPack offering across Labelexpo, FachPack, and the K Show has been outstanding,” said Matt Burton, ABG’s Global Sales Director. “With a dedicated team, a global sales lead in place, and our new Centre of Excellence in Girona, we’re in a fantastic position to accelerate growth in this market.”

ABG is also set to host a live demonstration event at its new FlexPack Centre of Excellence in Girona, Spain, on October 22–23. The event will offer converters hands-on access to the Galaxy GS-20 pouch-making machine and direct interaction with ABG and Galaxy technical teams. This move reinforces ABG’s focus on practical innovation and close collaboration with converters looking to diversify into flexible packaging.

ABG’s strategic FlexPack expansion is part of a broader packaging industry trend, where traditional label converters are branching into adjacent markets, driven by demand for short-run, customizable, and value-added flexible packaging formats. This diversification is reshaping the market landscape, pushing equipment suppliers like ABG to develop turnkey, modular, and scalable solutions for converters across the globe.

As sustainability, customization, and agility become defining factors in modern packaging, ABG is positioning itself not only as a technology provider but also as a long-term partner for converters navigating the complexities of flexible formats.
