Sisley partners with Aptar Beauty to launch Sensitive Skin Soothing Care using Irresistible airless packaging, ensuring preservative-free formula protection.

Aptar Beauty’s Irresistible Airless Packaging Chosen by Sisley for Sensitive Skin Soothing Care

Aptar Beauty has once again demonstrated its leadership in high-performance cosmetic packaging with the introduction of its Irresistible airless packaging for French luxury brand Sisley. This strategic collaboration marks the debut of Sisley’s new face cream, Sensitive Skin Soothing Care, a dermocosmetic product formulated with 100% natural-origin ingredients and free from preservatives.

The Irresistible packaging line was chosen specifically for its advanced airless technology and unique barrier system. Aptar’s patented Preservative-Free System (PFS) integrates a sterilising micro filter and a Tip Seal actuator to prevent any microbiological contamination. This solution is ideal for formulas that are delicate and require minimal to zero preservatives, offering high protection without compromising the product’s integrity.

One of the standout innovations in this packaging is its metal-free path pump and bag-in-bottle airtight design, which enhances compatibility with a wide variety of formulations. A multilayer internal pouch further boosts the packaging’s barrier properties, offering maximum defense against air and environmental contaminants.

Beyond its functional benefits, Irresistible delivers consistent dosing of 150 microliters, features a lockable actuator for user safety, and is constructed with a POM-free cartridge. Aptar is already developing the next-generation version, aiming to launch a full polyolefin container and a PFAS-free micro filter in early 2026, enhancing both recyclability and health standards.

“Irresistible Airless is our best solution to meet consumers’ expectations for preservative-free products, while guaranteeing their safety, quality and optimal preservation,” commented Florence Roullet, Global Laboratory & Quality Development Director at Aptar Beauty.

The packaging system was developed in close partnership with P&B Group, a specialist in high-value cosmetic solutions. This collaboration enabled the integration of Ultra-High Temperature (UHT) sterilisation — a patented method involving rapid heating and cooling of the formula to eliminate pathogens without compromising the product’s texture or efficacy.

To prevent contamination during the filling process, a dedicated under-vacuum filling line was employed in a sterile environment. This stringent production protocol ensures the product remains uncontaminated from manufacturing through consumer use, supported by the successful passing of CVIT1 and TSIT2 microbiological safety tests. These protocols validate that the formula remains sterile both before and after the Period After Opening (PAO).

Visually, the 40ml packaging reflects Sisley’s luxury aesthetics. Manufactured and decorated in France, it features a pristine white color achieved through a double silk-screening pass, and is topped with a glossy silver metal collar — all elements designed to echo the brand’s commitment to elegance and quality.

This packaging innovation is more than just functional — it redefines standards in dermocosmetic protection and presentation, reinforcing the growing market demand for preservative-free skincare products that don’t sacrifice performance or safety.

With this launch, Aptar Beauty and Sisley underline their shared commitment to innovation, sustainability, and uncompromising quality in skincare packaging.
