Bickers has officially verified the recent installation of an advanced GLUEJET® at the DS Smith Retail Marketing facility in Ely, completed in August 2023. Mark Rust, the Projects Engineering Manager at DS Smith, expressed enthusiasm, stating, "Following the success of five prior GLUEJET® installations over the past 13 years in Ely, we have opted to reinvest in the market's most efficient, rapid, and secure xy-gluing technology. With the introduction of the new GLUEJET® 17.25 PAi2, we can now apply a blend of hotmelt and PVA cold glue at an impressive speed of up to 6m per second, making it an ideal choice for FSDU/corrugated display production."
Rust further elaborated on the notable advancements in the machine's features and the exceptional quality of its manufacturing. Emphasizing DS Smith's commitment to elevated safety standards, he affirmed, "The GLUEJET® has successfully undergone rigorous testing in the safety domain. Ensuring reliability in both machines and suppliers is crucial for us."
The acquisition of the machine was facilitated by Finishline Machinery, serving as Bickers' Sales Agent for the UK & Ireland.
