Hunter Luxury unveils an exquisite wooden pack for Glenglassaugh whiskies, blending coastal heritage with bespoke craftsmanship in luxury packaging.
Hunter Luxury and partners Brown Forman and Glenglassaugh Distillery unveil a remarkable wooden pack for the prestigious Serpentine Coastal Cask Collection. This highly limited whisky line, aged 48 to 51 years, is housed in bespoke hand-crafted oak cases that embody the essence of the distillery's coastal heritage.
To capture the essence of Glenglassaugh, Paul Hamilton, Head of Wine & Spirits at Hunter Luxury, immersed himself in the Aberdeenshire coastline where the distillery resides. "The packaging aims to evoke the sensory experience of sipping whisky by the sea," explains Hamilton. "From learning about serpentine stone in Portsoy to crafting bespoke oak boxes, every detail reflects our commitment to delivering exceptional quality."
The oak boxes feature a wave-like design, hand-carved to simulate North Sea waves and driftwood patterns. Each box is unique, adorned with a plaque detailing its cask number and customer, ensuring a personal touch. Technical challenges in carving were overcome using advanced digital manufacturing, blending ancient craftsmanship with modern technology.
"The design symbolizes decades of maturation and coastal influence," notes Hamilton. "From precision-engraved plaques to a custom booklet describing each cask, every element underscores our dedication to excellence in packaging."
Crafted with a medallion-sealed door, gold lettering, and a bespoke glorifier, each detail reflects Glenglassaugh's identity. The presentation booklet, bound in cloth with bespoke detailing, enhances the bespoke experience, while sustainable materials and meticulous finishing elevate every aspect of the packaging.
"At Hunter Luxury, we believe in exceeding expectations with every project," concludes Hamilton. "Our bespoke approach ensures each packaging project is a testament to craftsmanship and client success."
