RETAL Baltic Films will present its latest PET-based packaging solutions at interpack 2026, focusing on practical, scalable approaches to circularity and performance that meet changing regulations.
The team will share its key focus on the shift from metallised films to coloured and transparent PET structures, improving sortability while maintaining packaging performance. RETAL Baltic Films will also present developments in mono high-barrier PET films with improved sealability, building on recent EU-funded R&D projects aimed at maintaining compatibility with existing recycling systems.
Further innovations include tray-to-tray rPET films, supporting higher-value circular loops for thermoformed packaging and helping reduce reliance on virgin material will also be shared.
Interpack will allow RETAL Baltic Films to highlight the positive reassessment of PET-based barrier structures, such as PET/PE and PET/PE/EVOH. Advances in delamination technologies and alignment with RecyClass Design for Recycling guidelines have enabled these structures to move into more favourable recyclability classifications.
A one-stop supplier of both rigid and flexible PET solutions, including thermoforming films, lidding films and printed flexible packaging, RETAL Baltic Films’ integrated approach supports consistency across packaging formats and reduces development risk for customers.
As a group, RETAL’s packaging offering also includes closures designed for performance and recyclability, contributing to more aligned and efficient packaging systems
