Magnavale expands co-pack and labelling capabilities to meet increasing demand, offering versatile solutions for storage continuity and packing flexibility in the UK.
Magnavale, a prominent cold storage provider, has recently announced the expansion of its contract packing, labelling, and date-coding lines at its Easton facility. This expansion marks a significant boost in capacity, enabling Magnavale to better serve its clients.
Capable of adapting between ambient, chilled, and frozen applications, these new highly automated lines empower Magnavale Easton to significantly increase packing, labelling, and date-coding output. Moreover, they allow for flexible adjustments to meet periods of peak demand.
Featuring both date code printers and sleeving equipment, these expanded packaging capabilities provide Magnavale’s partners with storage continuity and packing versatility. This is crucial for thriving amid shifting consumer appetites and changes in market demand, especially during seasonal peaks.
According to Amanda Cogan, the chief operating officer, "These high-volume packaging lines mean that we can support our clients amid increasing demand without putting strain on our other cold chain operations. Our packing lines at Magnavale Easton are some of the most efficient in the UK, with both manual and automated capabilities that can handle a range of ambient, chilled, and frozen products."
Since assuming control of the cold storage facility in 2022, Magnavale has made substantial investments in the South Grantham-based facility. These investments have increased capacity and enhanced services offered to include an essential service to the food manufacturing sector, including blast freezing.
Moreover, the firm is presently investing £130m into a new fully automated, renewable energy, 101,000 pallet cold store at the site.
