Nounós Creamery Introduces Probiotic Strained Yogurt in Sustainable Packaging

Notably, it is hormone and antibiotic-free, gluten and rBST free, and devoid of artificial flavors, colors, or preservatives.

Emphasizing its dedication to sustainability, Nounós Creamery has taken a significant step by incorporating environmentally-friendly packaging into its latest offering. The yogurt cups, adorned with a cardboard wrap from Greiner Packaging’s K3 cardboard-plastic combination, not only provide stability with thin walls but also contribute to a reduced CO2 footprint compared to other solutions in the market. The ease of separation between the cup and wrap enhances recyclability, ensuring a positive environmental impact.

The sustainable approach adopted by Nounós Creamery aligns with the broader movement towards eco-conscious practices in the food industry. By choosing Greiner Packaging’s K3 for their new probiotic strained yogurt, Nounós not only enhances the consumer experience but also sets a noteworthy example for others in the industry to follow.

Co-founder John Belesis highlighted the brand's commitment to sustainability, stating, “Right from the start, we chose to pack our single-serve naturally authentic yogurt in sustainable glass pots, which are loved by our consumers. For the new launch of our 16-oz. probiotic strained yogurt, we have chosen Greiner Packaging’s sustainable K3 cardboard-plastic combination.”

Addressing the motivation behind the introduction of the probiotic variant, Belesis explained, “We wanted to add a probiotic variant and at the same time be able to offer a more accessible price point while competing with other larger yogurt tubs commonly available in most retail locations. Choosing reclosable K3 was a major factor in the development of this new two-flavor range, as its 100% recyclability and premium look and feel fit so well with our and our consumers’ values.”

Nounós Creamery's strategic move not only enhances their product portfolio but also underscores their commitment to both consumer health and environmental responsibility.
