Future of Digital Cutting Unveiled at drupa
The upcoming drupa in Düsseldorf (May 28 - June 7) will witness the unveiling of cutting-edge automation and the latest advancements in digital cutting technology by Kongsberg Precision Cutting Systems (Kongsberg PCS).
Kongsberg Ultimate, capable of processing materials up to 25 mm thick at 168 meters per minute, powered by military-grade motors, will take center stage. These motors, driving the acceleration required for high productivity, mark a breakthrough in the industry.
David Preskett, Vice President of Kongsberg PCS for EMEA and APAC, revealed, "Visitors to drupa will not only witness the groundbreaking Kongsberg Ultimate, revolutionizing corrugated cardboard production, but also be introduced to the incredible new Robotic Material Handler (RMH) system mounted on a seven-axis rail. The seven axes provide extended reach and flexibility, enhancing the freedom to design production layouts tailored to client needs. With its modular nature, the system can scale up to meet growing company demands."
Customer-Centric Innovation
David emphasized the customer-centric approach behind the Kongsberg Ultimate's launch, marking a milestone in the corrugated cardboard production industry. "It's essential for us to develop solutions that not only empower our customers with the creative freedom to achieve their specific goals but also ensure the best user experience while maximizing operator safety. Additionally, our focus on incorporating recycled materials in manufacturing, along with materials with lower environmental impact, underscores our commitment to sustainable, efficient, and innovative production practices. Kongsberg Ultimate embodies all of this, setting an incredible new standard in productivity and innovation."
