Eric Geling, Chief Sales Officer at TNA solutions, highlighted the urgency of the project: “Preziosi had a very short amount of time to plan and execute the project. Any delays would have impacted the company’s private label contracts. However, working with a complete solutions partner greatly minimized the risk during the installation phase."

TNA Solutions, renowned as the global leader in single-source solutions for snack production, undertook the task of implementing a fully integrated potato chip line. This included a cutting-edge pellet frying system and a comprehensive distribution, seasoning, and packaging setup. The result? Preziosi's production capacity surged from 17 to an impressive 30 million kilos of snacks per year.

Lorenzo Caporaletti, President and CEO of Preziosi Food, emphasized the project's complexity and the necessity for innovation: “Our requirements were not only cutting-edge technology; we also wanted to manage the installation and improve the plant within a strict 12-month period without stopping or slowing production."

With over 300 SKUs spanning potato chips, pellets, and extruded items, maintaining product quality was paramount. TNA's holistic approach and deep process knowledge allowed them to identify critical areas for enhancement, leading to a remarkable 76% increase in snack production capacity.

The TNA continuous frying system, equipped with patented opti-flow® technology, ensured consistent product quality while reducing rejects. Innovations like lowering the oil outfeed temperature to 150°C via a double heat exchanger enhanced color intensity and product crunchiness while minimizing acrylamide formation.

Geling further explained the technical prowess involved: “Our application engineer, Arnaud Jansse, oversaw our Food Technology Centre, leveraging his 30 years of experience to fine-tune the frying process."

Deploying multiple on-machine seasoning systems (OMS) and advanced tna robag® packaging systems streamlined operations, enabling Preziosi Food to meet burgeoning demand without compromise. These innovations not only bolstered production efficiency but also upheld the company's commitment to delivering high-quality, safe products to discerning consumers.
