Bormioli Luigi launches Axis and Pocket, two 10 mL glass fragrance bottles designed for portable perfumes, samples and gift sets.
Bormioli Luigi expands fragrance range with mini formats
Bormioli Luigi has expanded its standard fragrance packaging portfolio with two new 10 mL glass bottles designed for portable and on-the-go applications.
Named Axis and Pocket, the new formats target brands looking to offer smaller fragrance sizes for travel, sampling, gifting and consumers who increasingly carry several perfumes for different occasions.
Two bottle shapes support different brand identities
The Axis bottle uses a cylindrical shape designed to provide a strong surface for branding and decoration, while Pocket adopts a square format with a more minimalist visual identity.
Offering two distinct geometries allows fragrance brands to select a format that better reflects their positioning while using the same compact 10 mL capacity.
Screw neck supports filling and recyclability
Both bottles feature a screw-neck design intended to simplify filling and closure assembly while supporting the recyclability of the glass container.
The format can accommodate conventional fragrance dispensing as well as roll-on applications, expanding the range of products that can use the same basic packaging platform.
Mini formats respond to mobile beauty habits
Smaller fragrance bottles are gaining relevance as consumers increasingly look for products that can move easily between home, work, travel and social occasions.
Portable formats also allow users to switch fragrances according to season, location, mood or time of day without carrying a conventional full-size bottle.
Sampling remains an important application
Bormioli Luigi also positions Axis and Pocket for trial products and assortment gift sets, where smaller capacities allow brands to introduce consumers to multiple fragrances within the same collection.
Sampling can play an important role in fragrance because purchase decisions depend heavily on personal sensory experience. Packaging therefore needs to retain the premium cues of the full-size product even at much smaller volumes.
Decoration options remain extensive
The bottles can be customised using internal or external lacquering, including gradient effects, as well as screen printing, metallization, sputtering and hot stamping.
These finishing techniques allow brands to create premium visual differentiation without changing the underlying bottle geometry, making the formats suitable for both permanent ranges and limited editions.
Glass retains its premium fragrance position
Glass remains the dominant material in luxury fragrance packaging because of its inert properties, weight, transparency and ability to support sophisticated decoration.
Translating these qualities into smaller formats allows brands to maintain a premium consumer experience while responding to demand for greater portability and product variety.
Small formats create new commercial opportunities
Mini fragrance bottles can support additional price points and purchase occasions, including travel retail, discovery sets, seasonal collections and promotional campaigns.
They can also allow consumers to experiment with higher-end fragrances at a lower entry price, potentially increasing trial before purchase of a larger bottle.
Fragrance packaging becomes more flexible
The launch reflects a wider shift in beauty packaging towards formats that adapt to more fragmented consumption habits.
By adding Axis and Pocket to its catalogue, Bormioli Luigi is giving fragrance brands a standardised glass platform that combines portability, recyclability and extensive decoration possibilities within a compact format.
