Boxmaker.Pro has launched the SSG1600, a compact side-seam gluer designed for short-run corrugated box production, hand-glued operations, sample work, and special applications.

The SSG1600 enables packaging producers, box makers, and sheet plants to reduce labor on straight-line side seam applications and improve consistency without occupying a main folder-gluer. Typical uses include short-run side seam jobs, samples, rework, specials, overflow orders, and any application requiring a consistent glue line.

Optional taping heads allow for tear tape or peel-and-seal applications. Simon Needham of Boxmaker.Pro emphasizes that the machine provides a simple, affordable solution for handling awkward, short-run, or hand-glued jobs efficiently.

The SSG1600 can be tested at Boxmaker.Pro’s demo facility in Wiltshire, UK. Customers can submit sample blanks, photos, drawings, or dimensions for a suitability assessment, with demos available in person or via video.
