Coca-Cola has redesigned its bottles and cans to reinforce brand consistency, leveraging iconic design elements while maintaining sustainability targets, including post-consumer recycled content and recyclable packaging.

Coca-Cola Launches Visual Rebrand to Strengthen Brand Consistency

Coca-Cola has unveiled a visual rebrand across its bottles and cans to enhance brand consistency and leverage its iconic heritage. The redesign emphasizes the company’s core assets, including the red and white color palette, Spencerian script, Dynamic Ribbon, and Arden Square logos, applying across retail, digital, and equipment interfaces globally.

The rebrand applies to Coca-Cola Original Taste, Coca-Cola Zero Sugar, and their flavor variants and multipacks, while certain variants like Coca-Cola Light and Zero Caffeine retain signature elements. For Zero Sugar products, distinctions remain through large on-pack text, a black Dynamic Ribbon on cans, and black caps.

Consumer reactions have been mixed; some users find Zero Sugar cans less distinguishable due to white labeling, while others note clear differentiation remains. Coca-Cola emphasizes that the new packaging maintains quality, safety, and sustainability standards, with plastic bottles continuing to use 100% recycled material (excluding caps and labels).

The rebrand also includes sustainability enhancements such as new single-serve mini cans, recyclable corrugated handles, and glue dots replacing plastic shrink wrap for multipacks. The company’s plastic packaging portfolio includes 78.93% post-consumer recycled content, with 99.94% of packaging designed to be recyclable, reusable, or compostable.

Branding agencies The Superultrarare and JKR contributed to developing a unified visual identity for over 200 markets, aiming for a seamless, recognizable Coca-Cola experience worldwide.
