Isitec strengthens logistics traceability with integrated label printing

Isitec International has integrated BIXOLON thermal label printing technology into its Isitrac traceability platform, creating a standardised solution designed to improve reliability and efficiency across logistics and critical mail operations.

The deployment was implemented with integration partner EUTRONIX and combines BIXOLON XD5-40dK direct thermal printers with BarTender Seagull drivers and Isitec’s proprietary logistics software.

Labels generated automatically during parcel registration

Once integrated with Isitrac, labels can be generated and printed automatically at the point where a parcel is registered within the system.

This eliminates the need for intermediary printing applications and reduces the number of manual steps required from operators, helping create a more streamlined workflow from parcel identification through to physical labelling.

Standardisation addresses diverse IT environments

Isitec works across customer sites with different workstations, servers, network configurations and hardware environments. This variation can create compatibility problems when label printing systems rely on different drivers or configurations.

The company therefore sought a standardised printing platform that could operate consistently across local and networked environments while remaining straightforward to deploy and maintain.

Driver stability supports operational continuity

The solution uses BarTender Seagull drivers to provide stable Windows compatibility across customer installations. For logistics operations, print reliability is particularly important because disruption at the label stage can interrupt parcel registration and wider distribution workflows.

By standardising hardware and software configurations, Isitec aims to reduce compatibility problems while simplifying technical support across different locations.

More than 100 printers already deployed

More than 100 BIXOLON printers have already been installed through the programme, demonstrating that the integration has moved beyond pilot implementation into wider commercial deployment.

Isitec says the standardised setup has improved print consistency and reduced support issues while providing customers with a more cohesive traceability system.
