LemuGroup will run four live demos at Loupe Americas covering digital embellishment, RFID insertion, finishing and high-speed inspection.
LemuGroup prepares four live production demonstrations
LemuGroup will demonstrate four live production workflows across two booths at Loupe Americas 2026, highlighting developments in digital embellishment, automated finishing, RFID converting and high-speed inspection.
Three systems will operate at booth 628, while the company’s I-Max inspection slitter rewinder will run at the neighbouring BST North America booth 637 as part of an integrated quality-control workflow.
MI 350 adds on-demand digital embellishment
The MI 350 Inkjet Digital module will demonstrate digital varnish application for raised visual effects and Braille marking. The system is designed to allow immediate job changes without conventional tooling, making it suitable for short runs, personalisation and value-added label applications.
Digital embellishment can help converters add tactile and visual differentiation while avoiding some of the preparation requirements associated with traditional screen-printing or tooling-based finishing processes.
BOSS line combines multiple finishing steps
LemuGroup will also run its configurable BOSS digital finishing line together with the GTU-26 glueless automatic turret rewinder. The workflow combines web control, semi-rotary die-cutting, inspection, slitting and rewinding in a single pass.
The GTU-26 provides controlled transverse cutting and closed-loop tension control and can operate at speeds of up to 820 feet per minute.
RFID insertion includes real-time verification
The RDX RFID Inserter will demonstrate single-pass inlay insertion, programming and defect detection. The system places RFID inlays with vacuum-based positioning accuracy of approximately ±1 mm.
It also performs real-time antenna and integrated-circuit validation, allowing defective inlays to be identified during production rather than at a later inspection stage.
RFID becomes more integrated into label converting
As RFID adoption expands across retail, logistics, healthcare and smart packaging, label converters increasingly need systems capable of inserting, programming and verifying inlays without significantly slowing production.
Integrating these operations into a single workflow can reduce manual handling and improve traceability while helping converters scale smart-label production.
I-Max targets high-speed defect inspection
At BST North America’s booth, LemuGroup will demonstrate its I-Max modular inspection slitter rewinder alongside BST inspection technology.
The connected setup is designed for automated defect detection and quality control while maintaining roll production at speeds of up to 1,800 feet per minute.
Inspection becomes part of automated finishing
Combining inspection directly with slitting and rewinding allows converters to identify and manage defects without separating quality control into an additional production step.
This can improve throughput while providing operators with more consistent information about roll quality and production performance.
Loupe highlights convergence across label production
The LemuGroup demonstrations reflect the broader evolution of label converting towards more integrated production cells combining digital finishing, RFID functionality, inspection and automated rewinding.
As converters handle shorter runs, more SKUs and increasingly connected packaging formats, modular equipment that combines multiple processes within one workflow is becoming increasingly important for maintaining productivity and reducing manual intervention.
