Rigenera Launches Sustainable Packaging to Extend Fresh Produce Shelf Life

Rigenera, in collaboration with Sfregola Materie Plastiche Srl, has launched an innovative range of sustainable packaging solutions designed to extend the shelf life of fresh fruits and vegetables. The product line includes Lifebag, LifeBox, LifeFilm, and LifeMat, each developed to address the preservation needs of fresh produce while reducing environmental impact.

LifeFilm is a flowpack film that helps retain moisture and slows spoilage, making it ideal for delicate produce. LifeBag, which was presented at major trade fairs, features antibacterial properties to prevent mold and bacterial growth, further extending the shelf life of packaged goods.

LifeBox, a biodegradable tray, is suitable for a wide range of fresh produce and breaks down naturally after use. For small fruits, LifeMat is a compostable mat designed to absorb excess moisture and prevent spoilage.

This comprehensive approach to packaging reflects Rigenera’s commitment to combining functionality and environmental sustainability. Each product is designed to preserve freshness, reduce food waste, and meet market demands for eco-friendly packaging alternatives, ensuring benefits for both consumers and the environment.
