Sealed Air expands paper cushioning portfolio

Sealed Air has expanded its protective packaging portfolio with the launch of ProPad Mini, a compact paper cushioning system designed for fulfilment operations where packing-station space is limited.

The system produces paper pads on demand for cushioning and void-fill applications, targeting e-commerce, retail and industrial shippers handling products ranging from cosmetics and electronics to smaller industrial components.

Compact format targets space-constrained operations

ProPad Mini has been specifically developed for packing environments where larger cushioning equipment can be difficult to accommodate. Its reduced footprint allows the machine to be integrated into smaller fulfilment centres, retail backrooms and individual packing stations.

Sealed Air offers several mounting configurations, allowing operators to position the system according to available workspace and packing-line requirements. The objective is to reduce unnecessary operator movement while keeping cushioning material immediately accessible.

Multiple dispensing modes improve flexibility

The machine can produce paper pads in manual, batch, auto-repeat and pre-set modes, allowing operators to adapt output to different products and order profiles.

Pad lengths can be dispensed from approximately 15 cm upwards, giving users greater control over material consumption. This can help standardise packing procedures while reducing the tendency to use excessive cushioning for smaller products.

Paper cushioning supports e-commerce workflows
