TEG Upgrades Sitexco SLP With Integrated Anilox Inspection and Tracking

TEG upgrades Sitexco SLP anilox cleaning system

TEG Technologies has unveiled an upgraded version of its Sitexco SLP laser anilox cleaning system, combining automated cleaning with integrated inspection and improved process traceability for label and flexible packaging converters.

The updated platform will be presented at Loupe Americas 2026 alongside the company’s new corporate identity. TEG says the development reflects its increasing focus on combining laser cleaning, inspection and process control within a single workflow.

Dotscope microscope integrated into the machine

One of the main additions is the integration of TEG’s Dotscope microscope directly into the Sitexco SLP. Operators can use the system to inspect and measure the anilox surface before and after cleaning without transferring the roll to separate inspection equipment.

This creates a more direct connection between cleaning and verification, allowing converters to assess whether cells have been effectively restored and monitor the condition of the anilox surface over time.

Inspection supports more consistent print performance

Anilox condition has a significant influence on ink transfer in flexographic printing. Contaminated or blocked cells can alter ink volume and contribute to colour variation, inconsistent print density and increased press adjustments.

Combining cleaning with measurement can help converters make maintenance decisions based on actual surface condition rather than relying exclusively on fixed cleaning schedules.

New software improves process tracking

The upgraded Sitexco SLP also introduces premium industrial hardware, Windows 11 and an updated software platform designed to simplify cleaning management and data tracking.

Greater access to process data can help operators maintain records of cleaning cycles and equipment condition, supporting more structured maintenance programmes and improved traceability across production environments.

Existing installations can also be upgraded

TEG has designed several of the new features to be available to existing customers. The Dotscope microscope can be specified on new systems but can also be retrofitted to installed SLP machines.

Existing equipment can additionally be upgraded with the latest PC hardware and Windows 11 software platform, extending the useful life of installed systems rather than requiring converters to replace complete machines.

Single-pass laser cleaning remains central

The Sitexco SLP uses single-pass laser technology to remove contamination from anilox rolls. Laser cleaning provides a contact-free process and can reduce dependence on chemical cleaning methods while targeting deposits inside the engraved cells.

The addition of integrated inspection allows operators to verify the result immediately after cleaning and provides a more complete picture of anilox condition within the same system.

Maintenance becomes increasingly data-driven

The development reflects a wider move across printing and converting towards more measurable and predictive maintenance. Rather than treating cleaning as an isolated operation, converters increasingly want data showing whether equipment components are performing within required parameters.

For anilox rolls, monitoring cell condition can help maintain consistent ink transfer, reduce unnecessary cleaning and identify potential wear before it creates larger print-quality problems.

TEG prepares upgraded platform for Loupe Americas

TEG Technologies will present the upgraded Sitexco SLP with its North American partner Eaglewood Technologies at Loupe Americas 2026.

By combining laser cleaning, integrated microscopy and digital tracking, the company is positioning the latest SLP as a more comprehensive maintenance and process-control system for label and flexible packaging converters seeking greater consistency and visibility across their printing operations.
