Truvant acquires Multi-Pak Packaging, expanding its capacity in supplements, OTC products, medical devices and personal care packaging.
Truvant expands healthcare packaging capabilities
Truvant has acquired Multi-Pak Packaging, a US contract packaging specialist focused on vitamins, minerals and supplements, over-the-counter solid-dose products, personal care and medical devices. The acquisition is intended to strengthen Truvant’s position in growing healthcare and wellness markets while adding significant new packaging capacity.
Multi-Pak brings a broad portfolio of primary and secondary packaging capabilities that complement Truvant’s existing operations. The company will continue to operate from its facility in West Caldwell, New Jersey, providing continuity for existing customers while gaining access to Truvant’s wider network and resources.
Major capacity added in bottles and blisters
The transaction significantly increases Truvant’s production capacity in several important packaging formats. Multi-Pak has the capability to package more than 250 million bottles annually and more than 500 million blister packs for tablets, caplets and softgels.
Its operations also include pouching and sachet packaging, providing additional flexibility for supplement and healthcare brands seeking portion-controlled or portable formats. These capabilities are increasingly relevant as the nutrition and wellness sectors expand into a wider range of delivery systems.
Cold-chain expertise supports probiotics
Multi-Pak also operates a dedicated probiotics centre designed around cold-chain handling. Temperature-sensitive supplements can require stricter storage and packaging conditions to maintain stability and product performance throughout production and distribution.
The addition of this specialised capability gives Truvant greater exposure to products where packaging operations must be closely integrated with environmental control, handling procedures and quality assurance.
Secondary packaging broadens the service offer
Beyond primary packaging, Multi-Pak provides services including cartoning, kitting, display assembly, sourcing, procurement and warehousing. It also handles Class 1 medical devices and personal care products, expanding the range of categories Truvant can support.
For brand owners, combining multiple packaging and supply-chain services through a single contract partner can simplify operations and reduce the need to coordinate separate suppliers for filling, secondary packaging, procurement and logistics.
Supplement packaging remains a growth market
The acquisition comes as demand for vitamins, minerals, supplements and functional health products continues to increase. This growth is creating new requirements for bottles, blister packs, sachets, pouches and other formats that balance product protection, convenience and accurate dosing.
Truvant says the combination will allow the company to provide customers with greater scale, broader technical capabilities and additional opportunities for packaging innovation across these categories.
Consolidation strengthens contract packaging networks
The deal also reflects continued consolidation within the contract packaging sector, where scale and operational flexibility are becoming increasingly important. Brands are looking for partners capable of supporting multiple packaging formats, changing production volumes and increasingly complex regulatory requirements.
By integrating Multi-Pak into its network, Truvant is expanding both its manufacturing footprint and its expertise in healthcare-related packaging, positioning the company to serve a broader range of consumer health, supplement and medical product brands.
