Discover SCREEN's PlateRite HD 8900N II CtP series – an 8-page system revolutionizing efficiency and sustainability in plate production.
SCREEN has announced the launch of the Computer to Plate (CtP) series, PlateRite HD 8900N II, an 8-page system.
This release marks the evolution of the PlateRite HD 8900N series, initially introduced in May 2016. Similar to the current series, the new range includes E, S, and Z models, each tailored to specific needs.
The latest Z model, equipped with a 1024-channel imaging head, can produce 70 plates per hour. Meanwhile, the E and S models, each with 512 channels, can process 36 and 48 plates per hour, respectively.
Each model's imaging head utilizes GLVTM optical technology for a more uniform illumination, ensuring higher quality. The automatic focus mechanism also enables Spekta 2 and Randot X FM screening output.
All models can handle a wide range of plate sizes, from 304 x 305 mm to 1165 x 950 mm. Like the current series, each model can be paired with MA-L8900 and SA-L8900 autoloaders, enabling fully automated plate supply. Additionally, when connected to AT-M8001N units on the discharge side, plates can now be ejected in up to five different directions.
The new series is designed to be more environmentally friendly. With the Z model, for instance, energy consumption during operation has been reduced by up to 43% per plate. It also features a new energy-saving mode that can cut energy consumption by 90% when the system is inactive.
