Austrian-headquartered UNTHA Shredding Technology has officially completed the acquisition of UNTHA Germany. This move coincides with the revelation of €98m in global orders from the previous financial year.

With over 500 single, two, and four-shaft UNTHA shredders already operational in Germany and the wider DACH region, the company is poised to meet increasing demand. Investments in personnel and infrastructure are slated to drive a projected 50% growth within Germany over the next three years.

UNTHA has had a strong presence in the German market since the 1990s, facilitated by dedicated distribution partners. Operating under the name **UNTHA Germany**, the team has cultivated a reputation for developing advanced shredding systems tailored to diverse applications such as production waste, data destruction, e-scrap, and nuclear waste disposal.

The growth of the UNTHA brand led to the company becoming a **minority shareholder** in 2014. Subsequent investments resulted in the establishment of two distinct entities: a machine sales business and URT Umwelt- und Recyclingtechnik GmbH, specializing in complex refrigeration and e-scrap recycling plants. While URT remains an independent partner, the shredder sales division is now wholly owned by UNTHA Shredding Technology.

UNTHA Shredding Technology's CFO, Andrea Gratzer, and head of global sales and business development, Peter Streinik, have assumed roles as Managing Directors of UNTHA Germany. Additionally, Daniel Wresnik, a long-standing member of the UNTHA team, has been promoted to Sales Director. Alex Hofmann, boasting over 25 years of experience representing UNTHA in Germany, now serves as Operations Director, overseeing technical sales support, application engineering, after-sales services, marketing, and more. Plans are underway to expand the team by recruiting two new members before summer, bringing the total to 15.
