Brassware manufacturer Vado has collaborated with sustainable supplier Protega to revolutionize its packaging solutions.

The company's commitment to environmental, social, and governance impact is reflected in its updated packaging, which is now both recycled and recyclable. Additionally, the packaging is FSC-certified and sourced within the UK, aligning with Vado's sustainability goals.

Vado acknowledges the importance of reducing carbon emissions as part of its continuous improvement plan. Working closely with Protega, the company identified areas for enhancement, particularly in the efficiency of its packaging operations.

Protega's expertise led to a reported average increase of 37% in bench capacity, with the creation of individual stations to enhance focus areas and staff output. This restructuring aimed to reduce errors and minimize manual handling injuries. Subsequently, Vado experienced fewer mistakes, and no recorded incidents have occurred since the implementation of the new packaging solutions.

Furthermore, the collaboration with Protega has resulted in a significant 27% reduction in paper usage for Vado. This not only contributes to a lower environmental impact but also translates to cost savings in packaging materials.
